everybody have you heard,
he's gonna buy me a mockingbird,
well now you said mockingbird doesn't sing,
he's gonna buy me a diamond ring

& if that diamond ring doesn't shine,
he's gonna surely break this heart of mine,
& that's why i keep on telling it,
say a thing.......

keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come...
